Today we confirmed an upcoming interview with someone I really respect: Cara Castronuova, two time Golden Gloves boxing champ, former TV trainer on “The Biggest Loser”, actress, etc. She will genuinely thrill us with her appearance on our show.
She’ll also undoubtedly have something to say about fitness. And eating well. And exercising. And, uh, fitness.
Which is, of course, great.
Ironically, we plan to be doing two shows that day later in January on location at our sponsor Baconery’s Manhattan storefront. Seriously—it will be an awesome couple of shows!
But how to we explain to Ms. Castronuova that we are also eating bacon infused yumminess while we try to take what she is saying seriously? Will we — should we — feel guilty? Are we hypocrites? I’m not saying bacon is bad for you. It is protein, and probably better for you than a lot of artificial chemical stuff much of America eats. Um, right? Plus, and more importantly, it’s BACON!
So, is there room for a famous fitness trainer to coexist in the same airspace as lots of bacon? Can we transition believably from one to the other? Or will it be awkward, like when a news anchor pivots from the grim reporting of the murder of a family to the lighter side story of a walnut that looks like Liberace?
Stay tuned….we will indeed find out!
